Maison de la création

This program aims to explore creation practices through translation, by facilitating the cooperation of researchers from various fields of study (French language and stylistics, performing arts, foreign languages, French and Francophone literatures, ancient languages, translatology) and/or the cooperation of researchers and people with diverse professional activities (translators, writers, actors, directors, etc.) As diverse as points of view on a translated text may be, the methodological approach of this program is to create knowledge from the observation and experimentation, at an individual or a collective level, of creative practices emanating from translation. The program offers, for example, a succession of workshops, for different types of audiences, aiming to highlight the presence of creativity within the act of translation as well as the imaginary dimension of the representation of languages, and which can also constitute a basis for research work (research-creation). The focus is put especially on the collective dimension of translation-creation as well as on translation in a Francophone context and on stage translation, without excluding other fields. 
 
The program is co-promoted by researchers in various fields of study, creating a space that favours interdisciplinarity. Ridha Boulaâbi (Litt&Arts) supports the project of l’Observatoire des littératures francophones du Sud; Laurent Gallardo (ILCEA4) is actively involved, as a researcher and as a translator, in programs concerning stage translation (la Maison Antoine Vitez, for instance); Pascale Roux (Litt&Arts) supports the Stylistique et poétique du texte traduit project.

• "La Loreley" de Henri Heine - publication

L'ouvrage "La Loreley" de Henri Heine (édition de Pascale Roux, Droue-sur-Drouette, La Pionnière, 2020) se situe au carrefour d'une démarche de recherche sur la stylistique du poème traduit (XIXe-XXIe siècles) et de création par des écrivains contemporains, traducteurs et auteurs d'une oeuvre autographe. Il est l'une des réalisations prévues du projet "Les traducteurs entrent en scène" soutenu par la SFR Création, dans le cadre du programme structurant "l'Atelier de traduction-création".
